Beng Lay has more than 25 years of legal practice in a myriad of practice areas such as banking, corporate finance, joint ventures, corporate mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and divestments, mutual funds set-up, commercial transactions, trust set-up and related matters.
Besides having significant experience in the sale and acquisition of corporations with interests in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and numerous offshore jurisdictions, Beng Lay also works with high net-worth clients and their families on estate-planning and succession issues including family governance matters.
She also co-authored the first edition of the “Joint Ventures” title of Singapore Precedents and Forms (Volume B on Joint Ventures and Mergers and Acquisitions) now published by Lexis-Nexis.
Beng Lay has been a member of the Society of Estate and Trust Practitioners (Singapore Branch) (STEP SG) since 2004 and has served on the Executive Committee of STEP SG from 2005 to 2010. She has also been serving on the Executive Committee of the Singapore Trustees Association since 2021.
